Research

The UNM Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery program is dedicated to resident led research in all subspecialities of plastic surgery. With our dedicated faculty, residents are encouraged to pursue research in all aspects of plastic surgery and are provided departmental support to academic research conferences.

In addition, four dedicated elective blocks are built into the PGY-5 year to allow residents to pursue enrichment in their desired subspecialties and research endeavors.
