Conference Description
This is a no cost course for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and other health care professionals who want to enhance or develop their knowledge of novel therapeutics in the field of cardiology.

Conference Objectives
By the end of the conference, providers will be able to:

• Communicate and coordinate the cardiac care of their patients with the cardiologist to improve outcomes and patient care.
• Summarize the level of evidence and language used in the American College of Cardiology Guidelines to appropriately navigate the evaluation of cardiac diagnoses and communicate those findings to the cardiologist during the referral process.
• Integrate the management of heart failure outlined in the current ACC Heart Failure guidelines into the primary care of their patients.
• Improve documentation and communication in the transitions of care related to cardiac care between primary care, cardiology, and care transitions.
• Summarize the management of hyperlipidemia and utilization of novel cholesterol lowering drugs that are not statins.
• Implement the current ESC Pulmonary Hypertension guidelines into the primary care of their patients.
• Integrate the management of the SVT, atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation outlined in the current guidelines into the primary care of their patients.
• Identify indications for device implantation, ablation or Watchman placement.
• Compare the types of stress testing for cardiac risk stratification in the evaluation and treatment of primary care patients with chest pain.
• Employ the methods of communication and collaboration between the care team to ensure appropriate evaluation and treatment of primary care patients with chest pain.

This is a no cost conference. Your registration includes conference materials, lunch and refreshment breaks. Minimum and maximum numbers have been established for this conference; therefore, your pre-registration will be confirmed by email. Advance registration is encouraged.
