Call for Posters!

All faculty, residents, fellows, medical and health profession students at HSC are encouraged to submit a proposal that shares their innovations in quality improvement and patient safety. All proposals MUST involve a learner.

  • Identify if you wish to be considered for an Oral Presentation, Poster Presentation or Both
  • Conference style oral presentation by a single presenter 10 minutes max.
  • Poster (including a poster you have already prepared and presented at another venue)

Symposium Description

The goal of the symposium is to have residents and fellows engage with the hospital community and leadership to share ideas to improve quality and patient safety at UNMH. This symposium will host content expert lectures, interactive multidisciplinary panels, as well as showcase the ongoing quality improvement and patient safety projects at UNMH.

Symposium Objectives

1. How patient safety education has evolved over the last 20 years

2. Compare methods to increase faculty and trainee quality improvement and patient safety projects alignment with hospital quality goals

3. Discuss how to provide quality care in low resource setting

4. Describe on-going quality improvement and patient safety initiatives among other disciplines

Registration Fees

Advance registration is encouraged. Register early to avoid disappointment. Minimum and maximum registration numbers are established for this activity. Due to limited enrollment, your registration will be confirmed.

Tuition Remission 

All eligible UNM Faculty and Staff may enroll using a tuition remission. No refund or credit will be issued for non-attendance. You will receive a tuition remission form when you complete your registration. Your registration is not complete until your signed tuition remision form is received. You will receive a confirmation when received.

Online Registration

Other HSC Faculty, Residents, Staff and Students that do not have tuition remission benefits may register at no charge. Your registration includes conference materials and access to the virtual conference.

Cancellation

If you pre-register and cannot attend, Office for Continuous Professional Learning will refund tuition, less a $40.00 administrative fee, provided it is received in writing on or before February 11, 2021. No refunds will be issued after this date or for non-attendance. Conferences are subject to cancellation. In the event this conference is cancelled, UNM CPL is not responsible for any airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by participants.
