Conference Description

The Indian Health Basic and Refresher Colposcopy Courses are designed to prepare the new colposcopist in the evaluation and treatment of cervical dysplasia and to provide a review and update for the experienced colposcopist. The program is targeted for IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian Clinic providers. The refresher course is ideal for gynecologists and primary care providers who do colposcopy. The format includes lectures, interactive audience response session and small group slide review sessions.

Course Objectives

  • Review the role of high risk HPV including various genotypes in the pathophysiology of cervical cancer.
  • Appropriately select areas of the cervix for biopsy.
  • Appropriately use the 2019 ASCCP Risk-Based Management Consensus Guidelines for Abnormal Cervical Cancer Screening Tests and Cancer Precursors.

Registration

Advance registration is encouraged. Your registration will be confirmed via email. If you do not receive a confirmation letter, please contact UNM CPL at (505) 272-3942 to verify your attendance.Registration includes access to the virtual conference platform and conference materials.Registrations paid in cash must be in the exact amount of tuition. UNM CPL does not maintain a petty cash fund. It is UNM policy to charge offerer $35.00 plus normal merchant bank fees for each returned check. UNM CPL does not accept POs or paper registrations with credit card information.

Non-IHS/Tribal/Urban Clinical Provider Fees

  • Early Registration $275.00 (Now through January 20, 2021)
  • Regular Registration $315.00 (January 21-February 8, 2021)
  • On-site Registration $340.00 (February 8-12, 2021)
  • UNM Resident/Fellows $35.00 (Must provide a copy of UNM ID. Will not receive professional credit)

Non-IHS/Tribal/Urban providers are responsible for their tuition as well as their own computer/device  equipment rental costs (if applicable) associated with attending this training.

Providers from IHS/Tribal/Urban Indian Health Facilities

If employed through an IHS/Tribal/Urban Indian facility, you will not be charged tuition but you are responsible for your own computer/device equipment rental costs associated with attending the training (if applicable). Please email Roberta.Paisano@ihs.gov if there are further questions.

UNM Tuition Remission

All eligible UNM faculty and staff may enroll using a UNM Tuition Remission (waiver) to cover tuition costs listed on the registration form. A copy of the UNM Tuition Remission Form can be found here: https://hr.unm.edu/benefits/tuition-remission. Proper completion includes all required signatures. No refund or credit will be issued for non-attendance.

Cancellation

If you pre-register and cannot attend, UNM CPL will refund tuition, less a $40.00 administrative fee, provided it is received in writing on or before January 27, 2021. No refunds will be issued after this date or for non-attendance. Conferences are subject to cancellation. In the event this conference is cancelled, UNM CPL is not responsible for any computer/device equipment rental or other costs incurred by participants.
