The intensity and clinical demands of the program makes it is difficult for students to work while attending the program. Many students reduce their workload with their current employer to allow them to keep your benefits. Please reach out to your employer to understand your options.
We understand the financial investment in your education can feel daunting. We have kept our program costs reasonable and the majority of our students receive some form of grants, scholarships or loans. Our program is 48 credits, 725 clinical hours and 50 lab hours total.

We have a dedicated team that finds and supports clinical placements. We work with your needs and identify the ideal experiences for you.
One of your clinical rotations will in a rural or underserved community, often outside of Albuquerque. Students are responsible for travel costs.
If covering these costs are an issue please reach out to our Financial Aid Officers to discuss options available to you.

The majority of our students received some form of financial aid – scholarship, grant, loan, work study or teaching assistant position.
We also offer more than $270,000 in UNM College of Nursing scholarships. Individual scholarship amounts range from $200-$4,000 annually.
