As a leader in pediatric education, research and patient care, The University of New Mexico Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine located in Albuquerque, offers residency and fellowship training programs.
The department is made up of 14 medical divisions and numerous programs aimed at improving the health and health care for all children in New Mexico. We partner with state and community efforts to support families.
Our educational programs include:
- Pediatric residency – Comprehensive three-year training in a collaborative environment
- Pediatrics-child neurology residency – Two years of pediatrics and three years of child neurology training
- Neonatal-perinatal fellowship program – Three-year training program approved by the Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
- Occupational therapy graduate program – Innovative education provided by internationally recognized faculty
UNM Health Sciences Center has an ongoing commitment to excellence in producing scholarly and creative works geared toward the collaborative, interdisciplinary efforts for the School of Medicine, College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy faculty.
