Alia has joined the Continuum of Care team after six years working as an RN in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has an older sister with I/DD, so Alia has been part of this community for many years with an understanding of the immense needs for collaborative care for individuals with I/DD. Her mother is also a nurse in the same field for 39 years. Alia has worked with adults with many different medical and behavioral challenges and is excited to maintain these relationships with the individuals served by Continuum of Care. She is an active member of the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association and looks forward to expanding her knowledge and accreditation to better serve this community as a nurse case manager. Alia manages the Adult CP Clinic at Continuum of Care and participates in the Special Needs Clinic alongside TEASC with the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
