Juan is from Old Town. Juan graduated from Albuquerque High School, Occidental College, and UNM Anderson School of Management with an MBA in MIS. He has worked at Kirtland Air Force Base Phillips Laboratory, Project Uplift, and Mija’s Spanish Camp among other places. In 1997, he started working at UNM Latin American & Iberian Institute, then HSC Cancer Center as Education and Outreach Manager. He is proud to have worked more than 15 years at UNM.
He has worked with a diverse group of people locally and internationally. He was instrumental in policy change at UNM – creating a Tobacco-Free Campus.
As IT Support Tech II he assists users with medical conferences, technology, Tele-Health, inventory, websites, social media, photography and videos.
Juan’s goals are to work hard, work smart, be patient, to be a good listener, and generate more excitement for the team through positive collaboration.
As a father, he fully understands the impact that we make on this next generation.
Hobbies include reading and genealogy research, exercise, video and photography.
Larrañaga is a board member for Libros for Kids, ABQ Read to Me, Summit Park Neighborhood Association, Montezuma PTA, Jefferson PTO, KoC, Albuquerque High School Band and Thespian Boosters & contributes to the AHS Parent Group, among others.
