The Pediatrics Office of Research offers support for investigators seeking funding, including a departmental “seed” funds program and assistance with applying for other internal and external opportunities.
Pediatrics Research Funding
Twice annually the department solicits applications from Pediatrics faculty for promising research projects to provide up to $15,000 in seed funding to support preliminary data collection. New and early-stage investigators are encouraged to apply, though awards are also made as bridge funds and to support completion of ongoing studies and initiation of new areas of research. Priority is given to applicants who have not previously been funded by the department.
Eligibility:
Must be faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at 0.5 FTE or greater
Residents and fellows are not eligible to apply as the PI. They must identify a faculty member to serve as PI.
A PI may hold no more than one Pediatrics research award at a time.
Applications must be submitted through the electronic submission form; please see the RFA for a link to the form.
The Vice Chair of Research is available to provide guidance and input. Please click hereto download the most recent RFA and guidelines.
Pediatric residents may request funds for expenses to present their research at a conference. Please contact us for more information.
