The following offices, centers and core facilities provide support services and resources for HSC researchers:
HRPP manages IRB for the health sciences center. Visit the website for information on human research protections and ethics, IRB submissions and review, and access to the HSC’s Huron system for IRB protocol management.
CTSC is part of the NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award Consortium, which aims to accelerate research discoveries into clinical applications and improved health. CTSC administers a pilot funding program and provides services and resources for conducting research, including:
HIRC provides administrative support for research involving clinical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners at the UNM Outpatient Surgery and Imaging Services (OSIS) center and at the UNM main hospital. HIRC can assist with budget development and pricing for grant submissions, registration and scheduling of research participants, and data transfer, among other services.
ATG provides access to next generation sequencing assays, microarrays, and other genomics technologies, as well as bioinformatics analysis.
HSLIC provides access to the university’s library collection and thousands of peer-reviewed journals and health database resources. HSLIC librarians and information specialists can assist with literature reviews, citation management, intellectual property questions, and other research and scholarship-related topics.
SPO manages all preaward processes, including review and approval of grant submissions, awards, and contract negotiations. SPO also negotiates Material Transfer Agreements, Data Use Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, and Clinical Trial Agreements.
CGA manages sponsored project funds throughout the lifetime of the award, providing regulatory oversight, fiscal monitoring, and reporting.
