This is a no cost course for all HSC faculty, residents, staff and students providing a forum for participants to identify resources, opportunities to share education knowledge, and collaborations for innovation.
This is a no cost course for all HSC faculty, residents, staff and students. Your registration includes breakfast, lunch, reception and conference materials. Minimum and maximum numbers have been established for this conference; therefore, your pre-registration will be confirmed by email. Advance registration is encouraged. Register early to avoid disappointment.
This activity is pending approval for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
All faculty, residents, staff, and students in the HSC are encouraged to submit a proposal that shares their innovations in teaching, curriculum, use of instructional technology, and research/scholarship in health-professions education.
The conference will be live and in-person at the Domenici Center for Health Sciences Education.
When completing your proposal, please keep in mind the presentation formats described below. Further details will be provided to authors of accepted presentations.
(a) Conference style oral presentation by a single presenter, with potential listing of co-authors (15 minutes plus 5 minutes for audience questions). Oral presentations will occur on the morning of February 9.
(b) Poster (including a poster you have already prepared and presented at another venue). Posters will be attached to 3'x4' boards for presentation. Poster viewing will occur 1:30 pm on February 9 with presenters to answer questions between 3-4 pm.
c) Hot Topics After Lunch, where you facilitate a lunch-table conversation for 5-8 participants on a cutting-edge topic of broad interest for 20 minutes. Participants will have the opportunity to visit 3 sessions between 12:45-1:45 pm on February 9.
Accepted oral and poster session abstracts will be provided in a program that will also be published on the UNM Digital Repository. Presenters will also be encouraged to post their presentations or posters on the Digital Repository.
If you wish to propose more than one contribution to the program, you will need to complete a separate online form for each presentation.
