Gynecologic Conditions We Treat

Find comprehensive care for all conditions affecting the female reproductive system, including:

  • Breast pain
  • Conditions present at birth, including reproductive tract anomalies and disorders of sex development
  • Delayed or early onset puberty
  • Endometriosis – Pelvic pain caused by endometrium (tissue that lines the uterus) growing outside the uterus
  • Genital sores and injuries
  • Hirsutism – Unusually thick, dark facial and/or body hair
  • Lichen sclerosis – Thin, patchy, white skin
  • Menstrual conditions
    • Amenorrhea – Lack of menstrual periods by 15 years old or for several months in a row
    • Dysmenorrhea – Painful cramps during menstruation
    • Irregular periods
    • Menorrhagia – Unusually heavy or long periods
    • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) – Symptoms such as cramps, mood swings and headaches that occur a few days before menstruation
    • Premenstrual dysphoric syndrome – PMS symptoms severe enough to interfere with school, work or social activities
  • Ovarian cysts and other pelvic masses
  • Ovarian torsion (adnexal torsion) – Twisted ovary, causing sudden pelvic pain
  • Primary ovarian insufficiency – Ovaries that stop functioning normally before age 40
  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome – Hormone imbalance that may cause irregular menstrual cycles, extra body hair and acne
  • Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Toxic shock syndrome – Bacterial infection
  • Vulvovaginitis – Inflammation of the vulva
