The UNM Division of Hematology and Oncology team conductsworld-class cancer research in UNM labs, clinics and in the community. We work to reduce cancer health disparities in underserved populations, including in Native American communities.
We work through the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCC)—the only NCI-designated cancer center in New Mexico. Our team collaborates with the UNM Department of Internal Medicine, other departments at UNM and other facilities across the state. We work in the UNM Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized plan for each patient.
All of our physicians are board-certified, some in multiple specialties. This team of experts spans every cancer specialty and is recognized for their research in genomics, leukemia, nanotechnology, radioisotopes, radiation oncology and drug discovery.
