Flow Cytometry Service

Overview

The Flow Cytometry Laboratory at TriCore Reference Laboratories, in collaboration with the Department of Pathology at UNM, provides testing for hematologic disorders, immune status, and CD34 stem cell enumeration. All testing in the flow cytometry laboratory is performed by an expert technical staff with appropriate pathologist case review and consultation. The Flow Cytometry Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

  • General screening panels for blood, bone marrow, and tissue; acute leukemia panel; B-cell lymphoproliferative/CLL panel; T-cell lymphoproliferative panel (including T-LGL and Sézary panels), with option of TRBC1 evaluation for T-cell restriction; plasma cell myeloma (multiple myeloma) panel 
  • Ultra-sensitive PNH testing on peripheral blood specimens
  • Lymphocyte subset panels for immune status, immune deficiency disorders
  • CD34 stem cell enumeration peripheral blood and leukophoresis specimens
• Flow cytometry service works in collaboration with our hematopathology clinical service, cytogenetic, and molecular laboratories to provide comprehensive assessments
