The microbiology and virology services provide state-of-the art infectious disease testing in the areas of bacteriology, virology, mycobacteriology, mycology and parasitology. Our ever-expanding test menu is guided by our Scientific Directors who are certified by the American Board of Medical Microbiology. Utilizing the most up-to-date technologies, our laboratory tests nearly 600,000 samples per year from hospitals and clinics throughout the region. Microbiology and Virology services work closely with our partners at the University of New Mexico Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital Systems to impact infectious disease healthcare throughout the State of New Mexico.
