The Behavioral Health Reform and Investment Act (BHRIA) specifies several Health Care Authority (HCA) responsibilities. In the BHRIA’s first year, the HCA developed Behavioral Health Standards, Evaluation Guidelines, the Early Access submission and funding process, and the regional behavioral health plan submission and funding process. Among its other responsibilities, in the remaining years of the BHRIA, the HCA is also tasked with assisting regions in implementing their plans.
