The novel coronavirus is contagious and that attacks the lungs and other organs in the human body. The severity of the illness varies between age groups and those with pre-existing conditions and can be deadly. Symptoms include, but are not limited to the following: cough, trouble breathing, headache, sore throat, achy muscles, fever, vomiting, diarrhea and loss of taste or smell.
Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus
Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap, especially after you sneeze or cough
Use hand sanitizers with at least 70% alcohol when water and soap are not available
Keep at least a 6 foot distance between yourself and others
Sneeze and cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow
Disinfect household items (light switches, door knobs, countertops and etc.) that are touched often
Those older than 2 years of age should wear a mask when in public
Stay home if you are sick
Preventing a COVID-Related Poisoning
Never drink bleach or disinfectants to prevent getting COVID-19 or to treat an illness
Never drink handsanitizers, they may illegally contain toxic alcohols such as methanol
Never mix chemicals or household cleaners together when disinfecting or cleaning
Keep all cleaners and chemicals out of sight and reach of children and pets
Always supervise children closely while using cleaning products
