Nationally, the subspecialty of regional anesthesiology and acute pain management has been a rapidly growing and evolving field. At the University Of New Mexico Department Of Anesthesiology we are setting the pace and standards in regional anesthesia and perioperative pain medicine.
Within our division there is currently great depth and breadth of knowledge both in regional anesthesia techniques and acute pain management. We have very experienced faculty who keep up with the latest innovations and are considered experts in regional anesthesia and acute pain.
With our local knowledge base and expertise, we host an annual national workshop and symposium which draws participants from all over the United States. The Division of Regional Anesthesiology and Perioperative Pain Medicine promotes enhanced patient care through superb perioperative pain management.
