Benefits

All UNM Anesthesiology residents are eligible for benefits and leave.  Benefits include malpractice insurance for department activities, disability and health insurance.

Additionally, residents receive a stipend to cover expenses for anesthesiology meetings, textbooks, and other study materials. Scrub wear, lab coats, ID badges, meal allowance and pagers are provided by the hospital.

Main campus also offers a variety of facilities for residents to use. An anesthesiology library and lounge equipped with computers and internet access is located adjacent to the operating rooms.

Paid Time Off

Residents are eligible for time off, including:

• 21 vacation days per year
• Five days of educational leave per year
• Two wellness days per year
