During your pediatric residency at The University of New Mexico, you’ll work at UNM Children’s Hospital, the state’s only tertiary care facility solely for children. You’ll also provide subspecialty outreach care to all of New Mexico, sometimes with support from an air transport system.

Use advanced infant and child simulators to learn procedures for critically ill children. Take house call along with board-certified pediatric critical care specialists.
In this 20-bed unit, you’ll care for children with malignancies and surgical diagnoses. Take part in outpatient hematology/oncology clinics and perform procedures in a safe, controlled environment. The multidisciplinary care team includes:
Help provide comprehensive care along with hospitalists, therapists and a board-certified pediatric physiatrist at the state’s only inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. With 15 beds, the unit serves children who have a variety of conditions, from traumatic injuries to congenital anomalies.
