Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) will consult with you to ensure your activity meets all the necessary requirements for accreditation. Accreditation compliance reviews take time and therefore, CPL must receive the application no less than 30 days before the activity to be considered for approval.
To get started, you should establish a planning team based on the need (area of focus or concern) you want to address. Interprofessional education is a priority at CPL and the accreditation for CME/CE is an interprofessional accreditation, therefore, it is recommended for your activity to have an interprofessional planning committee that represents each member of the targeted audience, if possible. At least two professions should be represented. For example, a nurse and a physician or other professional combinations.
CPL will accredit activities designed for one profession’s scope of practice. However, it is strongly recommended that activities be designed and delivered for an interprofessional target audience.
UNM RSS activities are accredited for free. Accreditation fees for other activity types may be assessed. Contact our office for rate and fee information.
