The Case for Support outlines the vision for the future of the UNM College of Pharmacy, the need for a modernized facility, and the impact this project will have on students, faculty, and healthcare across New Mexico. The College of Pharmacy (CoP) will have a building fully dedicated to its use. Currently, the College maintains a presence in seven additional buildings across the Health Sciences Center campus, with plans to reduce that footprint to four. With the completion of the College of Nursing’s new facility, Nursing vacated the top two floors of the shared CoP/CoN building. This space is currently being renovated to fully meet the needs of the College of Pharmacy. Our goal is to deliver a clearly defined and beautiful path forward—both physically and academically. We aim to create spaces that are welcoming and accessible to all students, faculty, and community members; encourage growth and collaboration in the study of nature and science, with an emphasis on wellness and sustainability; and utilize the latest technology to drive innovation. Finally, our vision is grounded in local culture—honoring New Mexico’s past while building a foundation that can evolve over time and position the College as a leader in New Mexico’s future.
