We are delighted to welcome you to our second annual Land of Enchantment Residency Conference for pharmacy residents, fellows, preceptors, and leaders. This conference will be a forum for residents and fellows within New Mexico and surrounding states to present their longitudinal projects, as well as provide an opportunity for great networking within nearby colleagues of the pharmacy community.

Dr. Melanie Dodd is President of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, (ASHP) and associate dean for clinical affairs and professor, at The University of New Mexico (UNM) College of Pharmacy, Albuquerque, NM. She completed her B.S. in Pharmacy at Purdue University, her Doctor of Pharmacy at UNM and a pharmacy practice residency at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM. She is a pharmacist clinician with prescriptive authority at the UNM Senior Health Clinic, a consultant pharmacist, and responsible for didactic and experiential geriatric teaching activities with PharmD and interprofessional students and residents. She plays an active role in development of and oversees new pharmacist clinical practice models, credentialing processes, and pharmacist reimbursement at UNM.
Dr. Dodd’s has been actively involved with pharmacy professional organizations and an active advocate for advancing the pharmacy profession at the state and national level throughout her career. She is past-chair of the ASHP House of Delegates, the Council on Public Policy, and Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners. She is past-president of the New Mexico Society of Health-System Pharmacists (NMSHP) and the faculty advisor for the UNM College of Pharmacy SSHP.
