Amanda grew up in Albuquerque, NM. She earned a BS in Biochemistry at the University of New Mexico and graduated from the UNM College of Pharmacy, earning her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2020. Prior to starting her non-traditional PGY1 residency she worked at the University of New Mexico Hospital as an inpatient pharmacist. Her professional interests include academia, and pediatrics. Amanda enjoys hiking, yoga, trying new foods and traveling.

Emily Brown grew up in Winfield, Alabama. She earned her BS in Biology at Jacksonville State University and went on to complete PharmD coursework at Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy. Her clinical interests are broad, but include emergency medicine, oncology, and psychiatric pharmacy. In her free time, she loves cooking, playing with her cats, and trying out new hobbies, but mostly just likes to be around friends and family.

In her free time, she enjoys training in aerial silks as well as cooking, traveling, and watching ice hockey.

Jay grew up in Albuquerque and received his Doctorate of Pharmacy at University of Colorado. He completed his PGY1 residency with a pediatric focus at Wolfson Children’s Hospital/Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Florida and is now completing his PGY2 Pediatric Residency at the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital. His clinical interests include pediatric intensive care and emergency medicine. In his free time, Jay enjoys going to the lake, off roading, skiing, camping, exercising and hanging out with his wife and two dogs (Boomer and Sophie).

Angela grew up in western Massachusetts and earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. She moved from intern to pharmacist within Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital to complete the inaugural PGY-1 residency year, and is thrilled to train at UNMH as the first PGY-2 Thrombosis & Hemostasis Management resident. Her clinical interests include anticoagulation, critical care, and transitions of care. Outside of work Angela enjoys trying new restaurants, painting, and camping with family.

Ashleigh is originally from Christiansburg, Virginia. She earned her BS in Chemistry at James Madison University and her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Having completed her PGY-1 residency at UNMH, she is excited to stay on for a PGY-2 in oncology. She is looking forward to learning more about hematopoietic stem cell transplant, hematologic malignancies, and solid tumors. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with family, friends, and her cats, Gilbert and Poppy.

She hopes to become a Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and Pharmacist Clinician. Her practice interests include pediatrics, diabetes management, cardiovascular risk reduction, and anticoagulation. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, mountain biking, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Luna.

During his PGY-2 year, he would like to explore palliative care and chronic disease state management.
