Student Research Coordinator
Research - CHEK-D
I joined the Center for Healthcare Equity and Kidney Disease team in November, 2024. As the newest student research coordinator for CHEK- D, I am excited to make a difference in my community. I am deeply passionate about helping people, especially those who experience inequities in healthcare or their daily lives. As a native New Mexican who has grown up partially in Colombia and in the United States, I have a unique perspective that allows me to create a supportive and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds. I use my bilingualism to connect with English and Spanish speakers to make sure they have all of the resources and support they need to participate in research studies. This opportunity with CHEK-D will allow me to make a difference in my community, while expanding my own skills in research.
