Caring for New Mexicans
We provide excellent care for patients of all ages with dermatologic issues from Albuquerque and across the state. We aim to be the center of choice for New Mexicans with skin issues.
Our department is actively engaged in dermatology clinical research and healthcare disparities that can affect patients with dermatologic disease.
Our residency program trains the next generation of dermatology providers, with priority on retaining practicing dermatologists locally and in academics. To achieve, this we work collaboratively to promote excellence within UNM Health Sciences.
We provide care for patients of all ages throughout the state of New Mexico with dermatologic issues, such as:
Atopic dermatitis
Psoriasis
Acne
Skin cancer surveillance
Pigmented lesions/melanoma
Rare conditions such as autoimmune blistering disorders and genodermatoses
While we aim to fully understand the needs of our communities, we also work to make a difference by performing our duties with compassion and respect for our patients, learners and colleagues.
