Learn how our EBPM division prepares trainees, colleagues, and the community for research.
Biostatistics faculty and staff researchers actively conduct research in diverse areas of applications, including cancer, environmental health, infectious diseases, substance use and addiction, mental health disorders, medical informatics (electronic medical/health records), international health and rural health, and innovative research training. We have extensive experience and expertise in areas ranging from spatial-temporal data, experimental design, clinical and preventive trials, Bayes methods, computational methods, bioinformatics and genetic statistics, and machine learning. While supporting clinical and translational research in all health fields within and beyond the University of New Mexico Health Science Center, we continue to pursue methodology and data science innovation.
