This course provides the nuclear pharmacy technician with the knowledge to demonstrate drug information, follow correct procedures pertaining to the accurate calculation and measurement of prescription radio pharmaceuticals and to assist the nuclear pharmacist in administrative and customer service issues on a daily basis within the governing laws and regulations of the specific practice site.
NEO combines the web-based curriculum with experiential training at local sites to provide students with hands-on experience. This self-study program represents a minimum of 10 weeks of supervised, experiential training with an Authorized Pharmacist preceptor. Those candidates with nuclear pharmacy experience should complete the program in not less than 20 weeks. No specific schedule or curriculum is required for program completion.
