Please join us June 1, 2024 at UNM Dermatology as we present our fourth annual medical education conference geared to primary care providers in New Mexico and beyond!
We know that access to Dermatology in our state is difficult– it is one of our primary goals in the UNM Dermatology Department to train and retain providers. However we also recognize how important it is to partner with you to extend your knowledge base and confidence diagnosing and treating your patients with skin problems in your local community.
Our content will feature case-based and engaging sessions on diagnosis and management of common skin conditions in the primary care setting. The day’s agenda will include lectures from our guest speaker Dr. Christopher Bengson, MD, Chief Consultant at Indian Health Services for Dermatology, as well as highlights on the evaluation and treatment of Hidradenitis Suppurativa and Infantile Hemangiomas from our expert UNM Derm faculty. Breakout session options include skills-building workshops on wound care, dermoscopy, and dermatology procedures, highlighting biopsy and cryotherapy techniques, and interactive quizzes to test your knowledge. We hope to see you there!
