• Researching strategies and techniques to improve quality of life for patients and their families 
• Educating the next generation of palliative care doctors through New Mexico's only Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship  
• Providing access to palliative care through our inpatient clinics and New Mexico's only formal outpatient palliative care service program
