Application to the University Of New Mexico College Of Pharmacy requires a few steps including an online application, a GPA requirement, and completion of the 79 hours of prerequisite courses [PDF]. The application deadlines are the Priority Deadline of November 1, 2024, The Final Deadline of January 3, 2025.

Admission Requirements for Doctor of Pharmacy Degree

To receive consideration for admission to UNM College of Pharmacy, you must:

• Complete prerequisite coursework [PDF]. Finish all your biology, chemistry and physics lecture courses by the end of the spring semester for enrollment the following fall. Complete all other prerequisites by July 31 (end of summer term) for fall enrollment. Read prerequisite course descriptions.
• Earn a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all required courses.
• Participate in admission interviews and submit letters of recommendation.

We request all biology and chemistry lecture courses are within seven years. There is a petition process for students whose lecture courses are greater than seven years. Questions or concerns regarding your aged coursework, contact pharmacy@salud.unm.edu
