Immerse yourself in critical care practice when you choose the University of New Mexico Hospital’s Critical Care pharmacy residency program.
Our program provides residents with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to care for some of the most diverse patient populations in the nation. Pharmacy residents train alongside medical residents and critical care fellows, in addition to internationally recognized intensivists at the state’s only designated Level I Trauma Center. Furthermore, the resident will have the opportunity to work with the University of New Mexico Hospital's ECMO program, which performed the first pre-hospital cannulation in North American (PMID: 33000029) and is currently designated as an Extracorporeal Life Support Organization ECMO Center of Excellence.
Learning in the fast-paced environment of our academic medical center will provide you with the specialized experience necessary to prepare you to become a clinical pharmacist or to obtain a faculty position.
