I chose UNM Orthopedics for many reasons: the comradery amongst residents and faculty, the volume and variety of cases, and the access to the outdoors, among others. My experience here at UNM has surpassed my expectations. The residents are all very supportive of one another – it feels like one big family. Our faculty are approachable and eager to teach in the OR and in clinic. My favorite thing about this program is our Wednesday evening conference where all the residents get together to learn about fractures and how to fix them.
