I chose to come to UNM due to the supportive culture of the residency. Attendings are invested in developing you as a surgeon, a physician, and as a person. Residents are close with one another and supportive in and outside of the hospital. Many attendings either did residency or fellowship here and decided to practice at UNM because of the culture.  My fiance and I wanted to come to ABQ because of the outdoor year-round activities available close to the city. 

Fun Facts: I went to medical school in both the U.S. and Australia. I played D1 water polo at Pepperdine University and my grandmother was in the movie Home Alone.
