I chose UNM because of the excellent resident camaraderie and hands-on learning opportunities while in a laidback environment. UNM also offers tremendous early-on trauma and surgical exposure with a diverse underserved population that challenges you to learn to treat patients from head-to-toe.

In my off time, I enjoy playing pickup soccer games, video games (FIFA & Football Manager forever), hikes with my girlfriend and dog, and snowboarding.

Albuquerque/New Mexico offers a multitude of outdoor activities in year-round excellent weather with nearby skiing anywhere you go. New Mexico has a diverse population and outdoor activities around nearly every corner.

I chose medicine to treat patients, and become an empathetic surgeon who focuses on patient-centered care.
