The UNM ortho program has incredible camaraderie and I would call my co-residents some of my best friends. We have a perfect combination of hands-on trauma experience, outpatient procedures, research support, and lifestyle balance. Our attendings and administration truly support us, care about our well-being, and make sure we get as much ortho experience as possible.

Albuquerque is a hidden gem with mountain bike trails and back country skiing only 30 minutes from the hospital. Some of the best downhill skiing in the US is at Taos only two and a half hours away. The city and outdoors are never crowded, and people here have an easy-going attitude.

My long term goals in medicine: Keep fixing bones with friends.
